Gift NPC
Hi,
As the title suggests, a gift NPC would we awesome. I like to give presents on friends their birthday, but its like stupid when I just hand it over :'(
So why not put a Gift/Present NPC in GToB where u can create a present. U just give the item to the NPC, write the name for who it is and a message.
To prevent scamming or what so ever, it's better that the present is customized for that person only .
What are your comments ?
Ty ~

If you really want to give presents, why not just give Gifts which are already in game? Like Gifts of the Traveler, wintersday presents, etc. None of these are particularly hard to get, and Traveler's gifts are available weekly.

I don't believe this is needed at all.
I tend to just give the gifts and I just give it differently than just handing it over. I usually try to make the surprise the best possible. Although this usually involves being on vent etc for maximum effect.

they have something similar to this in WoW - gift wrapping paper.
nice concept but I think it really applies more so with the mail system also.
agreed with xron, vent does give it some extra meaning.

And you are NOT stupid?
You give it to the npc and it would be delivered as a present to a certain character.

it may be interesting only if.....when I (the gift receiver) gets teh gift it is actually in gift icon format.....so when i open it, it is a surprise.....however unnecessary this may be it would be nice to log on after a few and get like 1 or 2 of these as surprises....but could be good could be bad....

Sindo, you should be careful about calling a person stupid, rather than an idea being stupid. But since you opened up personal attacks, let me explain how the English language works in this instance:
When I said, "giving it to an npc..." I was implying the rest of the concept of the recipient having to go pick up the package. My comment implies that perhaps that idea is not any better than just giving the person the gift yourself.
Miskav appears to agree with me, having stated it in a way that even a person with your (Sindo's) intelligence can comprehend. So the next time you don't understand, please think twice about insulting the person.
